You will ensure the safe takeoff and landing of commercial and military aircraft. Your duties could include coordination between air-traffic control and maintenance personnel; dispatching; using airfield landing and navigational aids; implementing airfield safety procedures; monitoring and maintaining flight records; and applying knowledge of weather information.
You will manage forested lands for economic, recreational, and conservation purposes. You may inventory the ype, amount, and location of standing timber, appraise the timber's worth, negotiate the purchase, and draw up contracts for procurement. You may determine how to conserve wildlife habitats, creek beds, water quality, and soil stability, and how best to comply with environmental regulations. You may devise plans for planting and growing new trees, monitor trees for healthy growth, and determine the best time for harvesting. You will develop forest management plans for public and privately-owned forested lands.
You will conduct research or perform investigation for the purpose of identifying, abating, or eliminating sources of pollutants or hazards that affect either the environment or the health of the population. Utilizing knowledge of various scientific disciplines you may collect, synthesize, study, report, and take action based on data derived from measurements or observations of air, food, soil, water, and other sources.
You will advise and educate individuals or organizations on acquiring and managing debt. You may provide guidance in determining the best type of loan and explaining loan requirements or restrictions. You may also help develop debt management plans, advise on credit issues, or provide budget, mortgage, and bankruptcy counseling.
You will perform secretarial duties utilizing specific knowledge of medical terminology and hospital, clinic, or laboratory procedures. Your duties may include scheduling appointments, billing patients, and compiling and recording medical charts, reports, and correspondence.
You will drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 GVW, to transport and deliver goods, livestock, or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form. You may be required to unload the truck, and you may need to use automated routing equipment. You will require a commercial drivers' license.
You will buy merchandise or commodities, other than farm products, for resale to consumers at the wholesale or retail level, including both durable and nondurable goods. You will analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield. You will also select, order and authorize payment for merchandise according to contractual agreements. You may conduct meetings with sales personnel and introduce new products.
